2022 - Movie Night

As we celebrated Maxim’s 9th Birthday, Red Balloon Foundation supporters relived the days of yore as they wondered through real life artillery and fighter planes in the gardens of Ditsong War Museum.
 

As the sun began to set guests enjoyed Fresh Wraps, Gin Tonics and our Famous Sweet Table and excitement mounted for the viewing of 2 Vintage Movies.
 

Everyone settled down with their old fashioned movie snacks of popcorn and slushies and were able to indulge in the nostalgia of 2 movie classics – Charlie Chaplin’s “The Kid” and the Aptly named French Classic “Red Balloon”.

Even though we faced the challenge of National Load shedding, Dave Howe and Orbital Lighting came to the rescue and their generator ensured that Movie Buffs were not disappointed and our celebration continued unhindered.
 

Our ever popular Raffle included Jewellery, Theatre Tickets and Fine Wine.

It was an evening of Culture and Nostalgia and we managed to raise enough funds to continue to support our beneficiaries through the upcoming year
